The Senate panel on Benghazi came up today with their final findings and recommendations ; " Attacks were preventable " . Now , and by the same token can one say as well that the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan could have been prevented ??
The Senate intelligence committee , blames both the State Department and the intelligence community for not being clairvoyant , and failing in assessing the real situation on the ground .
Did we ever hear about any congressional committee blaming any one including our previous president and more so , our previous vice president , for the ill advised decisions , and profiteering , leading to the wars in Iraq and to a lesser degree in Afghanistan ??
A recent book accused the actual president of not being full heartedly joyous and enthusiastic about the two wars , can we blame the guy for disliking these imposed and inherited , hateful and unnecessary wars , and just wanting to pull our troops and country out .
Almost everyone thought and recommended at the time , that both wars could have been totally prevented , unlike our present situation , and many , many thousands of casualties , plus huge , really huge sums of tax payer's money totally saved .
Just a thought , after reading the Senate panel's recommendations . My usual thanks to all .
