WHY .... ??

We  all  know  by  now  that  we  -- Homo sapiens --  are  by  far  the  youngest  and  latest  species  on  planet  earth .  Plants ,  other  animals , small  and  large , bacterium ,  etc...etc... , are  all  and  by  far  older  survivors , millions  and  millions  of  years  compared  to  our  short  existence  of  maybe  twenty  or  thirty  thousand  years  among  them .

BUT ,  and  for  reasons  special  and  peculiar  only  to  ourselves , we  always  felt , and  from  the  very  beginnings , the  terrible  urge  to  create  our  own  superior  gods , later  one  God ,  or  be  created  by  them , then after , him ,  almost  always  him  and  practically  never  her  or  it .  A  very  bizarre and  pompous  male  egotistical  attitude  all through .

Later  as  we  all  learned   from  history  books , we  had  to  involve  him  in  all  and  every  detail  of  our  practical  life , asking , and  attributing  to  him  ,  every  possible  piece  of  legislation  to  our  simplest  desires , worries  and  needs .  Slowly  and  surely  making  him  go  into  more  complex  schemes  ,  with  Jewish  fertile  imagination  and  egocentricity ,  and  later  with  Christian  love  and  fraternity , later  intrusted  to  church  politics ,  to  end  up  with  Musslem  narrow mindedness  and  impossible  social  demands . 

ALL  leading  us  to  a  total  impasse  and  non  adaptability  for  our  modern  times  and  future  survival  on  planet earth ,  with  claims  forbidding  women  from  driving  modern  machines  for  the  safety  of  their  ovaries ,  to  the  unexplainable   God's  hate  for  female  hair  in  all  its  aspects  and   colours , and  the  terrible  conducts  of  ethnic  cleansing  of  all  other  and  similar  God  creators  under  the  headings  of  purity  or  exclusivity , whether  in  the  Arab  world , Israel ,  and  or  in  many  parts  of  the  world , to  give  just  a  few  examples .

WHY ???   indeed , why couldn't  we  (Homo sapien )  simply  suffice  ourselves  by  being  created  or  creators  and  live  happily  ever  after ??  or  better still ,  by coming  up , like  every  other  species  on  earth  , with  our  own  social  rules , attribute  them to  ourselves , again  like  every one  else , improve , add  to them  and  adapt  to  the  passing  of  times, and  live  possibly  in  peace  and  harmony  with  our  environment  and  every  other  species  for  ever , instead  of  our  doomed  predictions  for  our  future , under  the  auspices  and  patronage  of   God .   indeed  WHY .

POLITICAL GAMING ......

We  are all living nowadays  the great saga of our national  government shut down and it's  possible  sequels .

Most Americans  agree , that  sometimes  both  parties  are  wrong , in their governance  and  political  decisions , but  this  time  we  all  know  that  one  party  is  wrong  and  responsible  for  this  masquerade  and  it's  possible  very  dangerous  aftermath .

Certain  misguided   GOP  members   and  more  so , mostly  young  and pompous  tea  partiers , managed  to  usher  themselves  and  the  country  into  a  tight  windowless  corner  room , and  now obviously , they  don't  have  the  know how , the  courage  nor the will  to  bring  themselves  and  the  country  out  of  this  fix .

 Strangely ,  It  seems  no  one  is  really  interested  to  show  them  the  way  out , not  their  own party members  or  the  others   across  the  isle . The  country  and  eventually , the  fragile  world  economic  stability  could  be  at  stake .

A " pure  act  of  idiocy "  Warren  Buffett  called  it , a  very  surprising  situation  the  country  is  in  , to  say  the  least . Pomposity  and  personal  political  goals  should  have  no  place  in  the  political  system  and   governing  decisions .  But , this  is  our  responsibility  as   voters , isn't  it  ?? maybe  after  all ,   we  are  the  first  party  to  be  blamed .




A  quick  and  honest  opinion  as  to  our  present  governmental  situation , thank  you  all  for  listening .

 

NO CLEAR TITLE .......

Events  emanating  from  the  state  of  Israel  nowadays  are  multiplying  at an alarming  rate , whether  of  orthodox  Jews  walking  and  desecrating  daily , very defiantly ,  Palestinian  mosks , churches  and  sacred  praying  areas , confiscating  more  lands  to  build  illegal  Jewish  settlements , or  pressuring  and  blackmailing  the  world  into  a  no  talk  policy  with  Iran , and or  arrogantly threatening  for unilateral  military  actions  risking  world  peace .

Applying  the  concept  and  slogans  of  " security " to  everything  these  days , is  an  expression  of  failure , of  stagnation  in  creativity . People  of  the  country  itself  or  the  under occupation populations , are  no  longer  ready  to  submit  or  accept  this  logic .

WE  can  no  longer  even  apprehend  how  it  all  started , 65  years  of  pacification  and  containment  of  historical  upheavals ,  sixty  five  years  of  democratic  anesthesia , and  the  systematic  manipulation  of  events , have  dulled  our  perception  of  the  real  picture , of  our  sense  of  the  unending  war  and  occupation . We  need  to  start  by  recovering  this  perception .

Israel , in  its  death  struggles and  agonies , sacrifices  itself  as  a  content  in  order  to  survive as  a  form . This  is  why  this  country  is  sometimes  envied  for  what  they  have , for  their  technological  developments , for  their  manipulative  powers  and  their  ability  to  bully  most  countries , but  never  for  what  they  are .

Their  every  policy  is  designed  to  provoke  a  specific  reaction , every  political  act  the  Israeli  government  undertakes , is  nothing  but  a  calculated  way  of  not  losing  control  of  its  occupied  territories  and  its  Arab  population's  submission .

It's  useless  to  wait  for  a  break through , for  more  staged  negotiations , for  another  revolution  or  intifada , to  go  on  wasting  more  time  is  total  madness . The  catastrophe  is  not  coming , it  is  here , it's  been  here  for  years . We  are  every  day  witnessing  a  total  collapse  of  civilization  and  civility  in  those  areas , and  it  is  within  this  reality  that  we  must  choose  sides  and  act .

We  are  all  living  this  total  abandonment  of  all  traditional  standards  of  objectivity , truth , and  rationality , versus  an  imposed  agenda  whose  purpose  is  the  annihilation  of  all  social  and  political  transformation  of  the  native  Arab  Palestinian  population .

The  world  has  created  Israel  the  good , the  perfect , but  to  associate  its existence  to  goodness  is  very  questionable , and  has  been  a  great  disappointment  through  the  times .  As  the  great  Rabbi  once  described  the  Torah  and  the  Jews  ; " What  is  hateful  to  you , do  not  do  to  your  fellow , this  is  the  whole  Torah , the  rest  is  commentary ." I  honestly  don't  think  many  Israelis  believe , act  or  follow  these  words  in  modern  Israel .



Thanks  to  all , these  brief  words  could  be  addressed  to  the  present  American  administration or  to  Mr.  Kerry , but  wouldn't  we  assume  they  really  know  all  this , again  thanks  and  salamat.

 

A PHILOSOPHICAL TOUR D'HORIZON .....

THE  rule  for  a  good  sequel  is  that  it  ups  the  precedent .

How  liberating  it  would  be  to  consider  and  be  convinced  that  this  life  is  all  there  is .  That  all  human  animals  last  from  the  moment  of  conception  to  the  moment  of  death . We  give  ourselves  some  choices  of  shaping  our  thoughts  to  better  understand  who  we  are , and  only  from  there  can  we  think  about  how  we  should  live .

Let's  try  imagining  or  supposing  that  god  exist , the  omnipotent , omniscient  capable  of  everything , in  brief  the  most  perfect  god . We  believe  that  such  a  god  exists  only because  we  think  of  him , thus  he  ought  to  exist . We  need  his  existence  as  he  needs  ours .

Now  let's  reverse  the  game , and  imagine  that  we  exist  only  in  god's  mind , or  maybe  as  a  dream  of  his , then  the  whole  question  of  our  existence  and  our  independence  and  power  of  free  thinking in  the  universe  would  come  to  be  a  total  illusion . Remember  he  is  capable  of  everything , and  so  we  are .

Such  possibilities  would  change  the  whole  life  and  death  formula , the  question  of  existence  and  nothingness  into  a  simpler  way , simpler  explanations  are  always  better  and  more  practical  than  complex  answers  and  theorems .

The  future  is  not  fixed  as  most  religious  people  believe , the  future  and  its  history  are  there  to  be  made , for  us  to  shape . The  selfless  among  us  are  at  an  extreme , and  some  are  already  giving  all  that  they  can , and  that's  why  we  can  never  have  an  ultimate  explanation , as  both  us  and  him  put  some  serious  limitations  on  our  imagination  and  capabilities .

Very  elegantly  Queen  Victoria  in  a  letter  to  her  grand daughter  back  in  1883  said :  " I  would  earnestly  warn  you  against  trying  to  find  out  the  reason  for  and  explanation  of  everything ....  to  try  and  find  out  the  reason  for  everything  is  very  dangerous  and  leads  to  nothing  but  disappointment  and  dissatisfaction , unsettling  your  mind  and  in  the  end  making  you  miserable ."
